what happens after you land?

If you’re arriving into Casablanca, Marrakech, Fes, Tangier or Agadir, you’ll first pass through immigration before collecting your luggage.

Depending on the season, this can take anywhere from around 20 minutes to well over an hour. Christmas, spring break and summer holidays are usually the busiest periods.

After immigration you’ll collect your bags, pass customs and head into the arrivals hall.

If you’ve booked a private driver with us, they’ll already be waiting outside with your name on a sign. That means no negotiating with airport taxis while the kids are tired and everyone just wants to reach the hotel.

Once you’re inside Morocco, you usually won’t need your passport every day.

Hotels will normally register your passport information during check-in. Some attractions may also ask for identification.

We usually tell families to carry:

• a photocopy of each passport
• travel insurance information
• emergency contact numbers
• copies of flight details

Leave the originals locked in your hotel safe unless you know you’ll need them that day.

If you’re moving around the country, from Marrakech to the Sahara, then on to Fes or Chefchaouen, having digital copies stored on your phone is also useful.
