Overview
This Morocco Solar Eclipse Tour 2027 is built around the total solar eclipse in northern Morocco in 2027.

The route starts in Casablanca and goes through
Rabat, Chefchaouen and Tetouan
before the eclipse day. After that, the trip continues to
Fes, Volubilis, Meknes
and back to Casablanca.
The main idea is simple. You arrive near the eclipse area the day before,
so there is no long drive or stress on eclipse morning.
Tetouan is also a good base because you are close to the northern coast and can reach
a suitable viewing area early.
The eclipse is the main reason for the trip, but the route also gives you a good mix
of cities, history, medinas and northern Morocco.

Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Casablanca
Arrive at Casablanca airport and meet your driver.
Transfer to your hotel and take the rest of the day easy after your flight.
If you arrive early, you can walk around Casablanca or visit a few places nearby.
Day 2 Casablanca to Rabat and Chefchaouen
Leave Casablanca in the morning and drive to Rabat.
Visit some of the main places in the capital, including Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Kasbah of the Udayas.
After that, continue north toward Chefchaouen.
Arrive in the afternoon and explore the blue medina, small streets, local shops and viewpoints around the town.
Overnight in Chefchaouen.
Day 3 Chefchaouen to Tetouan
Spend the morning in Chefchaouen before leaving for Tetouan.
The drive is not very long, which makes this a relaxed day before the eclipse.
After arriving in Tetouan, you can explore the medina, walk around the old town and spend some time in the local cafés.
Overnight in Tetouan so you are already close to the eclipse viewing area for the next morning.
Day 4 Total Solar Eclipse and Drive to Fes
Today is the main day of the trip.
Leave early for the selected viewing area near Tetouan or along the northern coast.
Arriving early is important because eclipse day can get busy, especially around the best viewing locations.
Once you are in position, you can relax and wait for the eclipse.
Proper eclipse glasses should be used during the partial phases.
After the eclipse, leave the north and drive toward Fes.
Arrive in Fes later in the day and check into your accommodation.
Day 5 Full Day in Fes
Spend the day exploring Fes with a local guide.
Walk through Fes el-Bali, visit the souks, artisan workshops, traditional tanneries and some of the historic areas inside the medina.
You can also visit the Jewish Quarter and learn more about the different communities that shaped the city.
Fes is one of those places where having a local guide makes a big difference because the medina is huge and easy to get lost in.
Overnight in Fes.
Day 6 Fes to Volubilis, Meknes and Casablanca
Leave Fes in the morning and drive to Volubilis.
Visit the Roman ruins and walk around the archaeological site.
Continue to Meknes for some free time and lunch.
