Itinerary
Day 1 Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech and Transfer to Imlil
Welcome to Morocco and the beginning of your women's Mount Toubkal adventure. Arrive at Marrakech Menara Airport, where your arranged transfer takes you towards the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. Travel to Imlil, a traditional mountain village and the main starting point for Mount Toubkal treks.
Enjoy the surrounding mountain scenery, meet your fellow travellers and prepare for the hiking experience ahead. Overnight accommodation in Imlil. Keep the final transfer unhurried and leave enough time for the airport or onward plans. Your driver can adjust the timing around your flight, so the day ends simply and comfortably.
Day 2 Day 2: Trek from Imlil to Toubkal Refuge
Begin your guided Mount Toubkal trek from Imlil through the dramatic landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains. Accompanied by experienced local mountain guides and supported by mules and cooks, hike approximately 10–12 kilometres towards the Toubkal Refuge. The ascent involves around 1,400–1,500 metres of elevation gain, making this a demanding but rewarding trekking day.
Enjoy mountain views and meals prepared during the trek before spending the night at the mountain refuge. Sleeping-bag rental is included. Expect changing landscapes and winding roads, with natural pauses for viewpoints, short walks and refreshments along the way.
Day 3 Day 3: Mount Toubkal Summit Attempt (4,167 m) and Return to Marrakech
Start early for the highlight of your Morocco hiking adventure: an attempt to reach the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa at 4,167 metres. Follow your experienced mountain guides across steep and rocky alpine terrain, with the summit attempt dependent on weather, trail conditions and group safety. On a clear day, enjoy extraordinary panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains.
Descend from the summit area, return through Imlil and transfer to Marrakech. Relax and recover overnight in a traditional Marrakech riad. Expect changing landscapes and winding roads, with natural pauses for viewpoints, short walks and refreshments along the way.
Day 4 Day 4: Guided Marrakech Souk Tour and Optional Hammam
After your Mount Toubkal trekking experience, discover the cultural atmosphere of Marrakech. Join a guided tour through the city's traditional souks, where local artisans, colourful market stalls and Moroccan craftsmanship bring the historic medina to life. Enjoy free time to explore Marrakech, shop for souvenirs or relax in a café.
For additional relaxation, choose an optional traditional Moroccan hammam and massage experience at an extra cost of approximately £60–£69. Overnight in Marrakech. Expect changing landscapes and winding roads, with natural pauses for viewpoints, short walks and refreshments along the way.
Day 5 Day 5: Marrakech Airport Transfer and Departure
Enjoy your final morning in Morocco before your arranged transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport.
Your 5-day women's Mount Toubkal trekking adventure comes to an end, leaving you with memories of the High Atlas Mountains, the challenge of the summit attempt, Moroccan culture and friendships made along the journey. Keep the final transfer unhurried and leave enough time for the airport or onward plans. Your driver can adjust the timing around your flight, so the day ends simply and comfortably.
