Morocco Family Travel Guide

Everything you need to know about navigating the Kingdom of Morocco with your loved ones.

Safety & Comfort

Is Morocco safe for families with small children?

+

Morocco is incredibly welcoming to families. Children are revered in Moroccan culture, and you'll find locals going out of their way to be helpful. Our private tours ensure you have a dedicated driver and vehicle.

What medical facilities are available?

+

Major cities have excellent private clinics with Western-trained doctors. Pharmacies are common and well-stocked for minor ailments like stomach upsets or heat rash.

Logistics & Transport

Do you provide car seats for toddlers?

+

Yes, we provide ISOFIX car seats or boosters. Please mention this during booking so we can prepare the vehicle appropriately for your child's age and weight.

Dining & Dietary

Is tap water safe for children?

+

We recommend bottled water for drinking and brushing teeth. Our drivers always carry plenty of fresh bottled water in the vehicles for our guests.

Lodging & Packing

Are Riads suitable for kids?

+

Yes! While Riads can be quiet spaces, many are very family-friendly with pools and large family suites. We hand-pick Riads that welcome children and have staff who enjoy interacting with them.

What should we pack for the kids?

+

Sunscreen and hats are essential. For the desert, bring light layers as it can get cold at night. Comfortable walking shoes and a small "busy bag" for car journeys are also recommended.

Cultural Etiquette

How should my children dress?

+

For children, the dress code is very relaxed. Normal summer wear is fine, though we suggest covering shoulders and knees when visiting more traditional areas or mosques out of respect.

Money & Tipping

Is it better to use cash or card?

+

Cash (Dirham) is king in the souks and for tipping. However, most hotels and larger restaurants in cities accept Visa/Mastercard. ATMs are widely available in urban centers.
