This carefully crafted 7-day journey takes you from the coastal charm of Casablanca through Morocco’s imperial cities, across the majestic Atlas Mountains, and deep into the golden dunes of the Sahara Desert. Each day blends cultural immersion with natural wonders, offering you authentic experiences from ancient medinas to starlit desert camps. Below is your day-by-day adventure through Morocco’s most captivating landscapes.
Your 7-Day Sahara Desert Experience kicks off from your Casablanca hotel. Following this, we’ll tour major attractions like the Hassan II mosque. Next, we head to Rabat, the imperial capital city. During this tour, you’ll see the Mausoleum of Mohammad V along with Kasbah des Oudaias. In Meknes, you’ll experience top sites like the celebrated Bab Mansour Gate and the historic medina district. Along our journey to Fes, we’ll also stop at Volubilis before checking into a classic Moroccan riad for the night.
On this day, we’ll take a guided tour through Fes, focusing on the medina (historic old town) where you’ll find all major tourist attractions clustered together. Our route includes Jardin Jnan Sbil, the Bou Inania Medersa, and the well-known “Bab Boujloud” gateway. You’ll spend another night at a local Fez riad.
This day is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga desert area. We’ll visit the dunes near Khamlia village, where you’ll have the opportunity to listen to traditional Gnawa music. Next, we head to the Hassilabiad Nomad museum, giving you a fascinating chance to meet desert-dwelling Nomads. In the late afternoon, we’ll embark on a camel trek into the Sahara, guided by an expert camel handler. The journey to camp takes roughly 1 hour. You’ll witness a beautiful Merzouga sunset, enjoy an authentic Berber dinner at camp, and end the evening with traditional drum music.
Following sunrise in Merzouga, your Casablanca Imperial cities and desert tour continues as we travel toward Rissani, then onward to Tinghir where we’ll explore the impressive Todra gorges Canyon. You’ll take a short walk through the narrow Canyon, a favorite spot for rock climbing enthusiasts. We’ll then visit the Dades gorges, where you’ll stay the night at a local riad with both dinner and breakfast provided.
During your private 7-day tour from Casablanca, we’ll explore the highlights of Dades valley, then visit Kalaat Mgouna – the famous “valley of roses”. You’ll tour Ouarzazate’s cinema studios where blockbuster films like Gladiator were produced. You’ll also get a personalized tour of the ancient kasbah at Ait Benhaddou, Morocco’s most popular Unesco World Heritage site.
