We will commence your 2-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes by collecting you from your Riad in Marrakech. We will depart sufficiently early to reach the desert in time for the dromedary ride and to observe the twilight over the Erg Chebbi Sand Crests in Merzouga. Leaving the city of Marrakech behind, we drive toward Merzouga. Enjoy breathtaking mountain views as we drive across the High Atlas Mountain Range. We will stop here to admire the scenery. Then, we continue driving. In Ait Ben Haddou, we will stop at a panoramic viewpoint to see the ancient Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. UNESCO has protected the fortified settlement as a World Heritage Site since 1987. The Kasbah was also used in scenes of many famous movies and TV series such as Gladiator, Babel, and Game of Thrones. From here, we proceed to Merzouga. Lunch will be at an eatery somewhere along the route. We will arrive at the town of Merzouga in the afternoon. Here, your dromedaries will be waiting to take you across the Erg Chebbi Sand Crests. On the way to the camp, you will stop to enjoy a peaceful moment while the sun descends over the massive sand dunes. Arrive at your luxury camp after sunset. The camp staff will guide you to your private luxury tent where you can shower and rest before the evening meal. Rising early today is rewarded with a majestic dawn. After a tasty breakfast, we will leave the camp by a 4×4 vehicle, driving to the town of Merzouga. From here, we start our journey to Fez. First, we will travel along the Ziz Valley, pausing at a panoramic view looking at an oasis full of palm trees. We will also stop by the road in a cedar woodland near Ifrane, where we may observe some Barbary macaques. Then, we continue driving across the Mid-Atlas Mountain Range. We arrive in Fes in the afternoon and conclude your 2-day Marrakech to Fez desert tour by dropping you off at your Riad in the Old City (Medina).
